About
My research interests are framed by a concern about the political and moral work that is ‘done’ under the guise of improving the health of young people in various
settings. My work tends to draw from post Foucauldian writings on governmentality though am moving into the realm of 'interdisciplinarity'. Specifically I am interested in the 'why and how of' the govern 'mentalities' of health and education policy and curriculum and in turn how they are put to work within key pedagogical spaces. My work has largely interrogated policy and practices of drug education, sex education and food education.
